The Samsung Galaxy S II is a very impressive smartphone.
It also includes Swype, the best touch screen input method ever. I've been using swype for months. The speed, accuracy, and enjoyment of using it, is simply amazing.
I'm so disappointed that Apple rejected it. Swype would add even more fun to the iPhone. Not to mention its incredible ease of use and speed.

I was wondering if one would be able to get a FaceTime HD camera and install it on a 2010 iMac? Could it possibly be as simple as just taking the iSight cam out and plugging the FaceTime HD in? I would really like the 720P capability of the new cam.

I did something similar once. Basically a combination of turning off then on the external drive, while connected and/or restarting my computer fixed this.
Somewhere some deamon still thinks the drive is connected, it's just a matter of getting it to reset.

Highly unlikely. You might, however, be able to import it into a VM for Parallels. VMWare or Virtualbox.

I think google has a lock on the map thing. I can't see apple employees driving around remapping the world to get their own data base
google maps itself is pretty crappy compared to Bing maps and some of the higher cost mapping solutions out there. google maps is hardly ever updated

This may only happen if they get rid of the consumer-quality GPS receiver in it. Would raise the price of the handset, though.
It's more than likely going to be the use of their own software (iMaps?) rather than use Google which has their own Mobile OS now.
iPhone GPS works great for me, even when I visit New York City.

Ok so ive just discovered the joys of Geektools today so ive been playing around with that. Got 3 variations running the same scripts but with different wallpapers.....
All very Apple based as you can probably tell! Think I prefer the first one!!
